Emergency Preparedness

San Juan Basin Health Department houses a Regional Emergency Preparedness position that covers  Archuleta, and La Plata Counties; the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. These positions are funded by grants from CDC and Health and Human Services.

Bari Wagner, Communicable Disease Nurse, performs routine and novel disease surveillance including receiving reportable disease information and implementing disease control measures.

Adam Dreyfuss, Regional Planner and Trainer, assists and coordinates emergency planning activities between public health agencies and other response partners, assesses emergency planning training needs and coordinates training activities.
