Friday Seasonal Flu Clinics Postponed
September 23, 2009 San Juan Basin Health Department is postponing its Friday seasonal flu clinics. Vaccine manufacturers have delayed delivering seasonal flu vaccine in order to meet the demand for H1N1 vaccine production. Unfortunately, this includes orders of vaccine the Health Department had expected. We will continue our clinics for seniors as this is the population most at risk for getting complications from the seasonal flu. Additionally, children under age 19 can continue to receive flu shots at our Monday immunization clinic by appointment. Please call 247-5702 to schedule an appointment.
Individuals who want to receive a seasonal flu shot can check with Walmart, Walgreens, City Market or with their healthcare provider. San Juan Basin Health will notify the public when we receive additional supplies of seasonal flu vaccine.
