STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) Testing and Counseling and HIV Clinic

San Juan Basin Health provides confidential counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, and other sexually transmitted infections. Services are offered for minimal fees. Individuals can pay by cash, check or credit card.

Fees for testing involve a visit fee plus a laboratory fee per test:

Visit fees are:  0 to $69 based on a sliding fee scale determined by income. 

Laboratory fees are:

         Chlamydia/Gonnorhea--$0-$20 based on age and income.

         Syphillis--$9

         HIV--rapid test is $0, serum is $11

         Hep B--$15

         Hep C--$20 

 Quarterly HIV/AIDS Clinic

San Juan Basin Health Department also holds a quarterly HIV/AIDS clinic in which specialists from University of Colorado and the Western Colorado Aids Project come to Durango to work with local doctors. For information on the clinic, contact Liane at 970-335-2009.
