We offer a wide range of services aimed at improving the health and well-being of our community. Our work includes assessing and planning health improvement measures, as well as ensuring effective communication on important public health issues. We provide birth and death certificate services, monitor the spread of communicable diseases, and work on preventing insect- and animal-borne illnesses, such as Lyme disease and West Nile virus.
To protect public health, we offer immunization services, including travel vaccinations, and prepare for potential emergencies by developing rapid response strategies. We monitor environmental factors that impact health, including air quality, food safety, water, and sewage testing, and we manage septic systems and stormwater control.
Our prevention and wellness programs are designed to promote healthy living, offering assistance with care coordination, dental services, and the development of healthy eating and physical activity habits. We support families through programs like Nurse-Family Partnership and provide assistance in choosing long-term care options. We also offer sexual health services and support for women, infants, and children through the WIC program to ensure proper nutrition and health for all family members.
